what this is
committed introduces Queen's students to each other. Using the website or the waitlist means you accept what is on this page.
It is an independent project. Queen's University does not run it, endorse it, or have anything to do with it.
who can use it
You need a working Queen's email address and you need to be 18 or over. One account per person, under the name people actually know you by.
how to behave
Do not use committed to:
- harass, threaten, or abuse anybody
- pretend to be someone else, or use someone else's photo
- share a private conversation, photo, or anything else about a match without asking
- sell anything, recruit for anything, or promote anything
- collect other people's information, by hand or with software
We can suspend or remove an account that does any of this, and we do not have to warn you first.
what you put on it
Your photo and your words stay yours. You give us permission to show them to the people you are matched with, and nowhere else. Do not post anything you do not have the right to post.
what we promise
Very little, honestly. We do not promise you will be matched, that a match will reply, or that the service will be running on any given day. It is offered as it is.
We do not check who anybody really is beyond their school email. Meeting someone from the internet is your decision and your risk. Meet in public, tell a friend where you are.
when things go wrong
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what happens between you and someone you meet here, or for losses caused by the service being unavailable, wrong, or gone.
leaving
Email hello@trycommitted.com and we will delete your account and everything attached to it. We can also close the whole thing down, in which case everything is deleted.
the boring part
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. If we change them in a way that matters, we will email you.
